ESTANCIAS Argentina is the land of cattle and open spaces where the 'Estancia', the large estate ranch-farm, is its typical dwelling. Dozens of these estancias dot Argentina and Chile. BACKPACKING, MOUNTAINEERING & SKI Backpacking means carrying on your back all you need for survival in the wilderness. Our backpack trips are designed for strong and experienced hikers. Our expeditions vary widely in scope and in the skills required. Usually, no prior experience is necessary, but participants must be very fit. Ski programs take place in the winter months, and range from day excursions to Sky Resorts to full-fledged expeditions in the Patagonian Ice Field.
